The journey of Paryavaran Mitra Young Leader for Change 2013 begins

We are honoured to announce the names of the young leader 2013 from allover the country. After round of submission, revision, resubmission and telephonic interviews 35 young leaders have been finally selected. See their names and the projects they are planning here .

 

 

Learning from birds in our backyard-Him Academy Public School (HAPS), Himachal Pradesh

 

Birds are important components of our world, they are food for some other animals and some birds feed on others as part of the food chain. Birds are really very good parents, they live with their kids with great love and responsibility and teach them to face difficulties in life and finally to fly.” -Vanshika Sharma (7th B)

Strengthening Paryavaran Mitra in Dadra and Nagar Haveli

120 teachers along with representatives from the education department of the Union territory attended the orientation programme from 24-26 June 2013 at Silvassa. programme focussed on pedagogy, programme planning and practical demonstration of activities under the themes of biodiversity, waste management, and water. Announcing Green Teacher Diploma - 2013

Centre for Environment Education (CEE) and Commonwealth of Learning (COL) Vancouver, Canada have established the Green Teacher Diploma in Environmental Education (EE), a distance education programme. The programme addresses the rapidly growing need for continuing education and professional development in the field of Environmental Education (EE), and it is geared to build capacity of teachers and educators.
