Young Leader for Change: Action Plan Submission Deadline Extended

Wishing all schools and students a wonderful academic year 2013-14! We got requests from schools which are reopening for time to enable their students to participate in Young Leader for Change 2013. To give all schools an equal chance to be a part of this exciting initiative the action plan submission deadline has been extended upto 23 June 2013. Primary School Narnepadu, Guntur district, a Paryavaran Mitra Plus Plus Winner promotes use of Biofertilisers in the village

The efforts made by the primary school Narnepadu, Guntur district to spread the concept of Paryavaran Mitra has yielded in terms of production of organic rice in 125 acres. The school, a second time winner of Paryavaran Mitra Award has registered for the PM Plus Plus competition where the schools are expected to reach out to the community and create Paryavaran Mitra in their village. Paryavaran Mitra Mela in Jharkhand.

SESA organized Paryavaran Mitra Mela 2013 on 21-22 April 2013 at Daltonganj (Jharkhand) for Earth Day. The mela was for students and the general public on environmental issues of conservation and protection. Activities at the mela included Quiz, Painting, Extempore, Exhibition, Recitation, Poem, Film show, Environmental Games etc. Know more about the event here.


Students carry out actions for sustainability in Kerala

Students Aswathy A.S., Indulakshmi Subramaniam, and Dona Eyobe of Paryavaran Mitra School Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya School, Wynad have successfully completed their Young Masters Programme action project. They introduced 5 sustainability initiatives at the school, and reached out to support a tribal colony at the school´s surroundings.
