Paryavaran Mitra-Young Leader for Change 2013

Inviting action plans from students of class 6-10 for carrying out exciting action projects to address local environmental issues. Students will be guided by the team at CEE and mentored by 2012 alumni in all their efforts. Students completing their action projects get nominated for the Paryavaran Mitra Best Student Award at the Puraskar and several other national and international opportunities to showcase their work. Medicinal Plants- identification, uses in folk medicine and economic valuation, students’ action project from Manipur

Students of W. Manihar Memorial School in Paryavaran Mitra School in Bishnupur, Manipur on it’s work on Medicinal Plants focusing on its identification, uses in folk medicine and economic valuation. Environment Education resource in Hindi-Biodiversity

CEE North has joined hands with DLA Group of Publication under its Paryavaran Mitra initiative. Under the association, CEE as knowledge partner contributes one page fortnightly features on environmental issues and concerns for the DLA newspaper. Its daily, midmorning Hindi newspaper reaches out to Western UP with editions in Agra, Meerut, Jhansi and Delhi. Read the latest fortnightly column here



Earth Day@CEE

CEE Ahmedabad organised the 'Earth Day@CEE' on Sunday 21st April 2013. The event happened in collaboration with the Earth Day Network 2013 'Face of Climate Change' and the Times of India 'My City, My River' Campaign. Several competitions were organized for students and their families. readmore...

Faces of Climate Change-Environmental Photography Workshop and competition
Fifty students from four schools attended an environmental photography workshop in CEE Ahmedabad on 14th April 2013. Students learnt the basics of photography along with the issue of climate change and clicked pictures in their own environment on the themes ‘Faces of Climate Change’and 'My City, My River'. Earth Day at Odisha

CEE Odisha conducted awareness workshops at 9 schools in 7 different places of the state from 12th to 22nd April 2013 in partnership with the GEF UNDP/SGP and Paryavaran Mitra partner NGOs of CEE. During the workshops, students were shown the film. The Inconvenient Truth on climate change impacts. Interactions were also made with students on the local issues relating to Climate Change & Biodiversity mainly and how they at their individual level can make a difference



Resource-Water and Sustainable Development

On January 1st 2013, the United Nations introduced the International Year of Water Cooperation. On this important occasion, the German non-profit organization / / e.V. and edeos- digital education produced a new animated online-video which deals with water from a developmental perspective. The video clip about water is licensed as Creative Commons and may be used and shared.
