 Helping youth to take leadership for problem solving

The Paryavaran Mitra-Young Leader for Change are students involved in exceptional environmental action projects focusing on changes in their immediate environment. The educational process spans from developing action plans to implementing them and sharing experiences with the world. The initiative aims to develop leadership skills amongst students through experiential learning.

 

 

Paryavaran Mitra Best Student Award

The Paryavaran Mitra Best Student Awardrecognizes leadership shown through environmental action projects focusing on changes in their immediate environment.

10 students will be awarded. 5 students from Young Leader for Change 2013 batch and 5 students from the nominations sent by the states.

All students who carry out their action project by following the Young Leader for Change Methodology (Explore, Discover, Think, Act, Reflect, given on this page) with evidence will be eligible for completion certificate.

 

 

 

 

 

YOUNG LEADER FOR CHANGE 2013-Stories

 

Young Leader from 2012 reported that while working on local environmental issues they  developed several skills

Be a Paryavaran Mitra Young Leader for Change and do not live with problems but look for ways to understand and solve problems in your unique ways. It can be an environmental issue at or near your school, your community or in your own home. You can be part of this movement by registering and sending us your action plan in the format given on this page. After your plan is accepted you can implement your plan with the resources on the page and also keep us posted about your progress. We are here to help you with any kind of help you might need regarding your action projects.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. 12-15 years of age
  2. A motivated individual who thinks he/she can be a change agent.
  3. A team player who is willing to take responsibility
  4. Committed to implement the proposed action plan and share updates via any of the following means, photos, art work, video, stories, journal entries, etc.
